Good Morning

Bon matin, West Island — your morning just got a bit more stressful if you're heading to Lakeshore General today. Operating rooms flooded overnight, forcing the hospital to scramble surgeries and redirect patients, according to CTV News Montreal. Because apparently our healthcare system needed one more thing to go wrong this week.

The Daily Detour

The Cavendish overpass project is making weekend moves again — Highway 40's exit 65 is closed Saturday night to Sunday morning, forcing a scenic detour via Stinson Street. If you're heading west from the 40 to the 520, that access ramp is also shutting down Saturday 10 PM to 8 AM with a delightfully complex detour involving three different roads. At least our orange cone collection is getting some weekend overtime pay.

The Pointe-Claire Village boardwalk is having its quiet season moment right now, and honestly? It's perfect for those contemplative winter walks when you need to clear your head. The lakefront views hit different when there's no summer crowds, just you and the occasional brave dog walker. Bundle up this weekend and rediscover why we chose to live by the water.

Vibe Check

That feeling when you're finally putting away the Canada Goose but the wind off Lac Saint-Louis has other plans.
